About us

LA JOYA is a company that was founded in the 50’s in the Tecamachalco and Tochtepec valley, in the Mixtecan area of Puebla, Mexico. It stemmed from the Hacienda known as “LA JOYA” (“The Gem”),and all those who came from this place and were dedicated to raising cattle and planting crops such as tomatoes, Poblano chilies, green (tomatillo) tomatoes and an array of other vegetables.

Mission

Originating from the need to buy and sell produce from the Mixteca area of Puebla State in order to help solve the problem of unemployment and thus prevent migration from the area, the public was made aware of the variety of products this rich valley of Tecamachalco and Tochtepec has to offer.

Vision

Taking into consideration the importance and the responsibility of being a transcending agricultural company in the Tecamachalco and Tochtepec region, La Joya merchandiser began production to support the people of that area and the vegetable growers, contributing in this way to solving the most pressing problems such as unemployment, migration from the area, and disintegration of the family, all of which have been a great concern over the years.
