BRIEF GUIDE TO THE MEXICAN EXPORTER

What documents do I need to export?
 
Having the necessary documents for the shipment of the products is a process that determines the flow of export is not a bad stop filling which carries arrests in practical terms that cause economic losses.
 
Understanding that nothing is obvious and review two or three times the documents will be crucial to not make mistakes.
 
 
Export · Motion
 
Is officially approved by the Ministry of Finance, where data indicate the customs procedure to which the goods are intended and necessary information for calculation and payment of taxes on foreign trade. This document is submitted to the office through a customs broker or agent.
 
The documents you will need to develop and provided as annex to the petition are:
 
  • Invoice Business

    In the country of destination all shipments must be accompanied with original invoice, it should include: names of the office of departure and port of entry, name and address of the seller or shipper, name and address of the buyer or consignee, description of the goods, quantities, prices specified currency, type of currency used, conditions of sale, place and date of issue.

     
  • Letter of Commendation

    Through which the exporter provides the power broker to perform customs clearance.

     
  • List of Packaging

    It is a document that allows the exporter to the carrier, the insurance company, to customs and the buyer, identify the goods and know what is in each package or box, which should coincide with the bill. The latter is used to supplement the commercial invoice.
     
  • Certification of quality and quantification of goods

    The risks of foreign trade operations are reduced by going to international companies that monitor and inspect the load, in order to ensure compliance with agreed standards. These certifications are voluntary and may refer, among others, the following areas: supervision of quality, quantity and weight, supervision of loading, stowage or unloading, temperature monitoring, supervision of fumigation, quality control, supervision and inspection of packaging; previous inspection to ensure the cleanliness of transportation, inspection and evaluation of products according to international standards.

Certificate of Origin
 

In the framework of Free Trade Agreements and International Trade Agreements signed by Mexico, establishing rules of origin whose application varies according to their purpose, one of which is to establish preferential tariff systems for goods which comply with the rules. Compliance with the above rules, is reflected in the documentary evidence of origin called "certificate of origin."
 
Depending on the NAFTA or the Trade Agreement concluded by our country, the Certificate of Origin may require an official validation as a certification authority, which in the case of Mexico is the Ministry of Economy, or only be issued by the exporter . Similarly, the Certificate of Origin can be controlled or free-format playback.
