100 CERTIFIED PRODUCERS WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE EXPO RESTAURANTES WITH THE BACK-UP OF SAGARPA
Mexico City. June 21st, 2015.
It is expected the attendance of purchasers from Europe, Canada and U.S.A. to Expo Orgánicos 2015 by having the opportunity of knowing more than 80 organic products, whose producers were convened by the Agency of Marketing Services and the Development of Agricultural Markets (ASERCA).
In the framework of this exhibition also will take place the fairs of Pescamar 2015 and Exporestaurantes 2015.
100 certified producers from 22 states will participate in the 14th Expo Orgánicos 2015, taking place in the World Trade Center of Mexico City in June 24th-26th.
With the back-up of the Federal Government in a simultaneous way and in the same exhibition site will take place the ninth edition of Pescamar 2015 and Exporestaurantes 2015 with the objective of promoting the Mexican field products, fishing and aquaculture.
For the promotion of the products, SAGARPA has set business tables to show the characteristics of food, by opening to producers possibilities of entering those markets.
In Expo Orgánicos 2014, the producers got sales for more than 3.5 million pesos and more than two thousand commercial contacts.
The products that will be exhibited are agave products, stevia in different presentations, juices, jams, sauces, honey, blackberries and grapes; moreover some grains and seeds such as chia, beans and chickpea and also the main organic product of Mexico which is the coffee.
Moreover the exhibition will have agricultural products with certification by the Servicio Nacional de Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (SENASICA) as fresh or processed organic product having the national mark for this type of food.
There will be a stand of SENASICA in Expo Orgánicos and will give information to producers who wish to obtain the national mark for organic products to certify the production processes.
With the participation of officials of SAGARPA, ASERCA and SENASICA, workshops will take place dealing topics such as: Mexico and its organic products; homologation criteria for the certification of organic products in Mexico with U.S.A., Canada, and the European Union, as supports to the organic production and the national certification offered by SAGARPA.
In the framework of Expo Orgánicos, the Comisión Nacional de Acuacultura y Pesca (CONAPESCA) will also take place in the IX edition of “Pescamar 2015”, the most important fair of Mexico related on marine and aquaculture products, where producers of the country establish direct contact with the people in charge of the domestic and international trading of fish and seafood.
During the meeting of three days, the producers will establish dealings with more than nine thousand companies of food and beverages that together should give attention to more than a one million clients per week.
In the exhibition will participate more than 50 productive fishing chains, as companies offering their products with tastings of tilapia, shrimp, catfish, squid, crab, tuna and sardine, among others.
At the same time also in the WTC, is taking place the edition 2015 of Exporestaurantes, the most representative of the restaurant industry in Latin America.
In this exhibition, SAGARPA, through ASERCA, will participate with 110 producers from 22 states of the country, with an increase of 20 per cent in relation to last year.
220 products will be exhibited, which are distinguished by the Mexican Cuisine, corn products from Chiapas; leek cheese from Balancán, Tabasco; wheat flour; gluten from Nuevo León; table wine from Querétaro; sparkling wine from Chihuahua, and for the first time artisanal beer from Querétaro.
During the three days of the event, will be lectures about the importance of native corns in the traditional cuisine of Mexico, indigenous culinary techniques in “Moda en la Cocina”.
The well- known taster Teresa Hernández Macías will show through tastings, the importance of coffee Arabica depending on the region of the country, and the expert Chef Consuelo Herrera Garduño, in the kitchen area, will delight the visitors with dishes cooked with ingredients supplied by producers.
In this way, the success of Exporestaurantes from last year to the present year has increased 84 per cent, and ensure the agricultural companies by positioning in the domestic and international restaurant industry.
